It works great. There are minor cosmetic issues like scratches on the top. it is for basic use like emails, classes, etcetera. The battery does not hold a charge. It has to stay plugged in but it works great. I have had this for many years and have used it faithfully. I don't know anything about changing the battery or nothing else. I am factory resetting it as I am typing so it will be ready. My husband is an older gentleman and he wanted an older computer he could watch dvds and listen to cds on. It runs kind of slow. Again I don't know how to update or anything. If you have computer knowledge have at it.
